Thank goodness spring is almost on the door step. It’s still unseasonably cold but we’ve had a few nice days of sunshine all the same. And doesn’t it feel that bit warmer in the sun? Be gone cold. Hello lighter evenings and balmy days.
And with the change over of the seasons, it’s time for a new wardrobe, not me unfortunately, The Little One. She’s three years old now and more than aware of how her clothes fit together. She puts her outfits together, matching her tights and dresses, jeans and tops, gone are the days when I would prepare her outfit the night before. She’s also about to start a new pre-school, in a brand new area, and I’m very conscious there will be a flood of invites to birthday parties. And she always feels so proud in that extra special party frock.
So with all this in mind, my bank balance pending, I really want to splurge out on some new, smart, funky clothes for The Little One. I didn’t want to go to the usual high street shops, then someone gave me a nudge about alexandalexa, an online store of affordable designer clothes for children, and here’s what I found – The Little One is going to love these items…
Blue Dot Dress
Denim and Jersey Prom Dress
Red Poppy Dress
Back in my day – and we are talking the 70’s – I don’t remember having quite the volume in choice of clothes as The Little One has. In fact, all my party dresses were made by my grandma and mother – they were beautifully sewn with attention made to the tiniest of details. I would love to be able to machine stitch dresses for The Little One, but I just don’t have the time – have so much on my plate, for starters I’m moving home in a few weeks time. So although a part of me feels sad that I’m unable to make my daughter’s clothes, a large part of me is very relieved that fashion for the children has come a long way in the last twenty years or so.
And when I look at the dresses on sale at alexandalexa I realise that there is no way I could match the standard of their dresses even if my sewing fingers are nimble.
I just know The Little One is going to love her new party frocks – she loves blues, reds and floral patterns, and this collection of dresses, all made with quality, comfortable fabrics, will help her evolve her burgeoning sense of style.
